The lists are always interesting. Here&#8217;s the list for the Class of 2011&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Most students entering college this fall were born in 1989.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What Berlin wall?<\/li>\n<li>Humvees, minus the artillery, have always been available to the public.<\/li>\n<li>Rush Limbaugh and the \u201cDittoheads\u201d have always been lambasting liberals.<\/li>\n<li>They never \u201crolled down\u201d a car window.<\/li>\n<li>Michael Moore has always been angry and funny.<\/li>\n<li>They may confuse the Keating Five with a rock group.<\/li>\n<li>They have grown up with bottled water.<\/li>\n<li>General Motors has always been working on an electric car.<\/li>\n<li>Nelson Mandela has always been free and a force in South Africa.<\/li>\n<li>Pete Rose has never played baseball.<\/li>\n<li>Rap music has always been mainstream.<\/li>\n<li>Religious leaders have always been telling politicians what to do, or else!<\/li>\n<li>\u201cOff the hook\u201d has never had anything to do with a telephone.<\/li>\n<li>Music has always been \u201cunplugged.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Russia has always had a multi-party political system.<\/li>\n<li>Women have always been police chiefs in major cities.<\/li>\n<li>They were born the year Harvard Law Review Editor Barack Obama announced he might run for office some day.<\/li>\n<li>The NBA season has always gone on and on and on and on.<\/li>\n<li>Classmates could include Michelle Wie, Jordin Sparks, and Bart Simpson.<\/li>\n<li>Half of them may have been members of the Baby-sitters Club.<\/li>\n<li>Eastern Airlines has never \u201cearned their wings\u201d in their lifetime.<\/li>\n<li>No one has ever been able to sit down comfortably to a meal of \u201cliver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Wal-Mart has always been a larger retailer than Sears and has always employed more workers than GM.<\/li>\n<li>Being \u201clame\u201d has to do with being dumb or inarticulate, not disabled.<\/li>\n<li>Wolf Blitzer has always been serving up the news on CNN.<\/li>\n<li>Katie Couric has always had screen cred.<\/li>\n<li>Al Gore has always been running for president or thinking about it.<\/li>\n<li>They never found a prize in a Coca-Cola \u201cMagiCan.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>They were too young to understand Judas Priest\u2019s subliminal messages.<\/li>\n<li>When all else fails, the Prozac defense has always been a possibility.<\/li>\n<li>Multigrain chips have always provided healthful junk food.<\/li>\n<li>They grew up in Wayne\u2019s World.<\/li>\n<li>U2 has always been more than a spy plane.<\/li>\n<li>They were introduced to Jack Nicholson as \u201cThe Joker.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Stadiums, rock tours and sporting events have always had corporate names.<\/li>\n<li>American rock groups have always appeared in Moscow.<\/li>\n<li>Commercial product placements have been the norm in films and on TV.<\/li>\n<li>On Parents\u2019 Day on campus, their folks could be mixing it up with Lisa Bonet and Lenny Kravitz with daughter Z\u00f6e, or\n<li>Kathie Lee and Frank Gifford with son Cody.<\/li>\n<li>Fox has always been a major network.<\/li>\n<li>They drove their parents crazy with the Beavis and Butt-Head laugh.<\/li>\n<li>The \u201cBlue Man Group\u201d has always been everywhere.<\/li>\n<li>Women\u2019s studies majors have always been offered on campus.<\/li>\n<li>Being a latchkey kid has never been a big deal.<\/li>\n<li>Thanks to MySpace and Facebook, autobiography can happen in real time.<\/li>\n<li>They learned about JFK from Oliver Stone and Malcolm X from Spike Lee.<\/li>\n<li>Most phone calls have never been private.<\/li>\n<li>High definition television has always been available.<\/li>\n<li>Microbreweries have always been ubiquitous.<\/li>\n<li>Virtual reality has always been available when the real thing failed.<\/li>\n<li>Smoking has never been allowed in public spaces in France.<\/li>\n<li>China has always been more interested in making money than in reeducation.<\/li>\n<li>Time has always worked with Warner.<\/li>\n<li>Tiananmen Square is a 2008 Olympics venue, not the scene of a massacre.<\/li>\n<li>The purchase of ivory has always been banned.<\/li>\n<li>MTV has never featured music videos.<\/li>\n<li>The space program has never really caught their attention except in disasters.<\/li>\n<li>Jerry Springer has always been lowering the level of discourse on TV.<\/li>\n<li>They get much more information from Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert than from the newspaper.<\/li>\n<li>They\u2019re always texting 1 n other.<\/li>\n<li>They will encounter roughly equal numbers of female and male professors in the classroom.<\/li>\n<li>They never saw Johnny Carson live on television.<\/li>\n<li>They have no idea who Rusty Jones was or why he said \u201cgoodbye to rusty cars.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Avatars have nothing to do with Hindu deities.<\/li>\n<li>Chavez has nothing to do with iceberg lettuce and everything to do with oil.<\/li>\n<li>Illinois has been trying to ban smoking since the year they were born.<\/li>\n<li>The World Wide Web has been an online tool since they were born.<\/li>\n<li>Chronic fatigue syndrome has always been debilitating and controversial.<\/li>\n<li>Burma has always been Myanmar.<\/li>\n<li>Dilbert
