Mary had a little lamb,
\nIts fleece was slightly grey.
\nIt didn’t have a father,
\nJust some borrowed DNA.<\/p>\n
It sort of had a mother,
\nThough the ovum was on loan.
\nIt was not so much a lambkin
\nAs a little lamby clone.<\/p>\n
And soon it had a fellow clone,
\nAnd soon it had some more.
\nIt made the children laugh and sing,
\nThe teachers found it droll;
\nThere were too many lamby clones
\nFor Mary to control.<\/p>\n
No other could control the sheep
\nSince their programs didn’t vary,
\nSo the scientists resolved it all
\nBy simply cloning Mary.<\/p>\n
But now they feel quite sheepish,
\nThose scientists unwary.
\nOne problem solved, but what to do
