‘Twas the night before Thursday
\nAnd poor Clement Moore
\nHad his poem being copied
\nBy many a bore<\/p>\n
His “Night Before Christmas”
\nIs perfect in rhyme
\nHis rhythm and cadence
\nAre wonderfully fine.<\/p>\n
But then come the wise guys
\nWith internet cool
\nWho use Clement’s rhyme
\nAs sort of a tool<\/p>\n
They pick up the style
\nFrom this poem of “that night”
\nAnd they hitch up their sled
\nto whatever’s their gripe.<\/p>\n
Now I’m not even saying
\nThat there’s something not right
\nBy using Moore’s poem
\nTo carry a fight.<\/p>\n
I guess my complaint
\nIs not in their chore
\nBut the number of times
\nthey steal from Clem Moore.<\/p>\n
So I say to you all
\nAs I close down this gripe
\n“Merry Christmas to All
